Pricing Guide

Goldendoodles have become incredibly popular for their adorable appearance, affectionate personalities, and low-shedding (often allergy-friendly) coats. Before you fall for with those floppy ears and curly coats, it is important to know what you’re signing up for, especially when it comes to cost.

Across the U.S., Goldendoodles range from $1,500 to $5,000, depending on size, generation, coat type, and breeder standards. In this guide, we will break down everything that influences the price tag so you can plan and budget with confidence.

Average Pricing Overview

In Texas, prices generally fall between $1,800 up to $4,500, with higher prices often reflecting specialty lines or rare colors.

*Nationally, expect to pay around $2,000 to $4000 for most standard Goldendoodles in 2025.

Types of Golden Doodles and General Pricing

*F1 (50/50 Golden Retriever × Poodle): Generally more affordable—around $1,500–$2,500.

*F1B (backcrossed to Poodle):Higher demand for curlier, lower-shedding coats—$2,500–$3,500.
*F2/F2B & Beyond: Prices climb with complexity. F2B Goldendoodle price often lands $3,000+, and multi generational Goldendoodle price can exceed $4,000.

Size (Toy, Mini, Medium, Standard):

  • Toy/micro Goldendoodle price: $3,000–$5,000
  • Mini Goldendoodle price: $2,000–$3,500
  • Standard Goldendoodle price: $1,800–$3,000

Coat Color & Type: Rare colors (black, brown, merle, parti) can add $200–$500 to your goldendoodle price.

Health Testing & Guarantees: Breeders like us who are currently working on our OFA certifications, genetic health screens, and offer solid health guarantees typically charge more, but you’ll save on future vet bills.

Early Training & Socialization: Puppies that come with basic training, early socialization classes, and starter kits (food, blanket, leash) can add a few hundred dollars but can be worth every penny.

Included In Our Price

Veterinary Care: Initial vet exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, and spay/neuter contracts

Puppy Starter Kit: Food sample, collar, toy, and comfort blanket

Early Socialization: Puppy playgroup sessions in an environment with our older doodles and family environments

Lifetime Support:  Ongoing guidance for training, nutrition, and behavior

At Hanna Ranch Doodles, we offer a 2-year warranty on life-inhibiting genetic defects, and in that event, we would offer a replacement puppy

Knowing what’s included helps you compare between “cheap Goldendoodles” (aka red flags) and responsible breeders who stand behind their litters.

Beware of Low Prices: The Cost of Cutting Corners

  • Red Flags: No on-site visits, generic “I ship nationwide” claims, and no health certificates.
  • Puppy Mills & Backyard Breeders: If you spot listings for goldendoodle dogs for sale under $1,000, proceed with caution. Low prices often mean poor health, lack of socialization, and no genetic testing.
  • Long-Term Bills: A $500 puppy could cost you thousands in unexpected vet treatments down the road.

Ongoing Costs of Owning a Goldendoodle

Beyond the initial cost of a Goldendoodle puppy, budget for:

  • Routine Vet Visits: Annual check-ups plus vaccinations - plan $200–$600 per year.
  • Training Classes: Group obedience or private sessions - $200–$500.
  • Food & Supplies: Quality kibble for medium and standard sizes - $50–$80 per month
  • Pet Insurance: Highly recommended for doodles - $30-$80 monthly.
  • Grooming Price: Most Goldendoodles need professional trims every 6–8 weeks. Expect $60–$200 per session, depending on size and coat.

People often ask, “Are Goldendoodles expensive to maintain?” or “Are they worth the price?” For most families, the joy, loyalty, and hypoallergenic coats more than pay for themselves. You’re investing in:

  • A gentle, intelligent family member who is so human-like and wants to please
  • Minimal shedding and fewer allergy flare-ups
  • Years of loyalty, play, and affection

Plus, with reputable breeders like us, you won’t face surprise health bills down the road.

Our Promise To You

General Health Guarantee:

We guarantee that all puppies will have received an initial veterinarian exam, as well as all age-appropriate vaccinations. As the buyer, you have 3 days to have your puppy examined by a veterinarian. Any requests to return the puppy must be made within this time and must be accompanied by a written statement from a veterinarian describing the problem found. Failure to have your puppy examined within 3 days voids the health warranty.

Long Term Health Guarantee:

Each puppy/dog comes with a 24-month guarantee with related reimbursement limited to 50% of the purchase price.  Genetic defects that qualify for reimbursement are those related to heart, hip, or life-threatening issues. Reimbursements will be made only when a second opinion from a qualified veterinarian and proof of surgery expenses are provided. An official OFA rating will qualify as a second opinion.

Companion-Only Policy

Our puppies are strictly family and companion dogs and are not to be bred.

All puppies must be spayed/neutered by 6 months old or all health warranties will be made void.

Conclusion

Before you bring home your puppy:

  1. Research Breeders: Read reviews, ask for references, visit in person if possible.
  2. Budget for the Long Haul: Puppies grow into dogs with real needs. Plan for grooming, vet care, and training.
  3. Ask Questions: How many Goldendoodle puppies in a litter? What genetic tests are performed?
